ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)? The new St. Louis Animal Abuse Task force arrests a man suspected of shooting a dog than strangling him and leaving him for dead in a north St. Louis dumpster.
Ron Jackson, 28, lives near the 6600 block of Emma Avenue where the dog was found by city refuse workers on September 21st.
He had been shot 12 times leaving his back legs paralyzed.
Thanks to Stray Rescue founder Randy Grim who named the dog ?OP?. He is getting better though he can?t walk on his own or bark because of the strangulation.
Grim credits St. Louis Police Officer Lou Naes who is assigned full time to the animal abuse task force with finding witnesses who identified the suspect in this and numerous other cases.?
Jackson is charged with one count of felony animal abuse which carries a maximum sentence of four years in prison.
